La Gente, is the name of our recently launched Latinx ERG at 72andSunny. Our goal is to be a safe space for all our Latinx colleagues, share our culture with the agency and help develop new talent pipelines to get more Latinx in our building. Nuestra gente es tan creativa y son parte de la razon por la cual la cultura en general sigue cambiando y evolucionando.

Wieden + Kennedy - Co-Chair Latinx ERG
I love this. I am very passionate about bringing awareness of my culture to the agency and enjoy connecting and educating people about what its like to be a Latino in the world. Some of my favorite projects include our Gallery initiative in 2019, we brought local Latinx Portland artist and gave them a platform to sell their work in collaboration with Adelante Mujeres (Non-Profit). We also invited Pero Like’s Buzzfeed, they hosted a panel at the agency and talked on what is like to be a Latinx creative + a podcast where we dive in about representation in the digital landscape. Another one of my favorite projects was launching our “Mueve el Pom Pom” campaign to help drive Latinx people to go vote!
